Re Advanced Institute of Technology/questions

This is in answer to Linda Sp;arkuhl's questions.

I have been using technology skills that I learned this summer. What was the most important was not so much specific skills, as an overall idea of what is out there. I am more confident about trying out new things. I am using my laptop and my projector much more (mainly powerpoints that I have downloaded and short video clips). I found an ABC song/video on line that I use whenever we do dictionary work, Schoolhouse Rock videos to support grammar… Continue

SCWriP Activities Alive and Well in Grade Two

Thanks to SCWriP and to the tech workshop I created my very first PP, called Meet Mrs. Anaya. I used it the first day of school with my second graders. With it I used some of the interactive techniques I learned in the TECH workshop. It worked well! I am energized and excited.

The first week we did three copy exchange writing activities. Remember the Pigeon Who Wanted a Puppy? I have a story titled, The Bunny Wants a Bear... We write every day! I put up a published-work wall ( a la Anabel). I h… Continue
